Glint: accounts receivable follow-up for Canadian businesses

Glint is accounts receivable software for Canadian businesses: it follows up on overdue invoices in your business’s name, sends a demand letter only when you approve it, and gets payments to your own bank account.

Built in Edmonton, Alberta, for Canadian businesses that invoice on terms and wait to be paid: trades and contractors, suppliers and distributors, and service firms.

Free receivables check: drop your aging report and see, in seconds, what you're owed, what's at risk and what Glint would do with each customer. Your file never leaves your browser.

How it works

  1. Bring in your invoices. QuickBooks Online connects directly and keeps syncing. Sage, Xero, Wave or anything else starts from an aging export (CSV or Excel).
  2. Reminders go out as your business. Each overdue invoice gets a schedule of reminders by email, text or WhatsApp, in your business's name. Replies come to you.
  3. You approve the big moments. When an invoice is three weeks past due, Glint drafts a demand letter; it is sent only if you say yes.
  4. Money goes to your bank. Customers pay by Interac e-transfer to your own account, or by card or bank debit through a pay link. Glint reads the deposit notice and marks the invoice paid. Glint never holds the money.
  5. At 30 days past due, you decide. Keep chasing, take it to small claims with a facts-only evidence file, refer it to a collection agency you choose, or write it off with the GST/HST record for your accountant.

Questions

Is Glint a collection agency?

No. Glint is software you run. Every reminder and letter goes out in your business's name, replies come to you, money is paid to you directly, and Glint never takes a share of what you collect.

Is this accounting software?

No. Glint is the collection layer that sits next to your books, not a replacement for them.

What exactly will my customers receive?

Four reminders over two weeks (a text, an email, a second text, then a final notice by email), each with a link to pay you directly, and a demand letter only if you approve it. See every message word for word at useglint.ca/what-glint-sends.

Will Glint ever contact my client without me approving it?

Routine reminders run on the schedule you set. Demand letters and proactive invoices always wait for your explicit approval.

Do I have to stop using QuickBooks, Jobber, or Sage?

No. Glint sits next to your books, not in place of them. QuickBooks Online connects directly and keeps syncing; anything else starts from an aging export.

How do clients actually pay?

E-transfer to you directly, or card and bank debit through a pay link. No app to download. Glint never holds the money.

How do e-transfers get matched to invoices?

You add a Glint pay address as a second Autodeposit email at your bank. Money sent to it lands in your own account; Glint receives the deposit notice and marks the right invoice paid. Two minutes to set up in your banking app.

What if a client disputes an invoice?

One text pauses the whole sequence instantly, and resumes just as fast once resolved.

What happens if an invoice is still unpaid 30 days past due?

Glint stops and asks you. You can keep chasing, take it to small claims with a facts-only evidence file Glint prepares, refer it to a collection agency you choose, or write it off with the GST/HST record for your accountant. Nothing happens until you reply, and after a handoff or write-off Glint never contacts that customer again.
